Lexus LC GT500 Racing in 2017 Super GT Season

The all new Lexus LC GT500 seems to be ready to go sporting quite the interesting engine, obviously due to regulations of the Super GT Series in Japan.

Aesthetically, this thing is gorgeous. I've always had a thing for Super GT cars and we've seen this design scheme in the Lexus RC F GT3 race car.

Engine specifications haven't been released but it will be a 4-cylinder direct injection engine mated to a Sequential 6 speed transmission.

This is said to be a perfect fit to go alongside the Honda NSX and Nissan GT-R in the Super GT Series.

It would have to compete with Acura's NSX who won this years hybrid time-attack 2.

That would be interesting.

the Acura NSX was made for situations like the Peak, LC being a GT car doesn't fundamentally have that great of a chance, not sure what to think of this.

But this doesn't look like your typical GT car that you would see. That being said it doesn't look like your typical time attack car either. It's like a combination of the two.

The only thing that may pose an issue is figuring out the steering angle and turning radius on the LC GT. Pikes Peak has hairpins where your usual GT race track doesn't

Lexus/Toyota does have a lot of experience in racing on many levels so some of that should make its way into this give its the brands flagship product on a production level and the face of the brand for now till the LS arrives.

That is true. I'm actually really anticipating the LS. The spy shots are throwing me off a bit, but for obvious reasons, that's it's job lol.
