LC GT500 Dominating

The Lexus LC GT500 was dominating at the track and here's a quick breakdown. These just look so darn lethal.

Super GT Round One
After finishing Super GT Round 1 in the top six positions, it was another dominant performance for the Lexus LC GT 500 race teams — the ZENT CERUMO team of Yuji Tachikawa & Hiroaki Ishiura finished first in Round 2 at Fuji Speedway, followed by the WAKO’S 4CR team in second and the KeePer TOM’S team in third:

Lexus also won the GT 300 class, with the JMS P. MU LMcorsa RC F GT 3 team of Yuichi Nakayama & Sho Tsuboi picking up the car’s first GT3 win in Japan:

Nice! They finished first in the LC 500, sure it may be modded to high heavens, but still a win for the new Lexus vehicle and good publicity to draw in potential buyers.

Not really. It's like NASCAR, basically the shell has the profile as the road car. Nothing else remotely in common. But I guess a Lexus win is always good.

Not to mention that they all have to be within certain parameters of each other to ensure it's a "fair" race and they're all on pretty even grounds.

Majority of these things really comes down to the driver and how experienced/skilled he/she is. Do have to admit though, the red looks great. Does anyone know if there's a purpose to the yellow film on the headlights as the two bottom ones have it and the top one doesn't. Is it for something functional by changing the color of the light output in different "lighting" conditions (time of day) ?

Seeing all these GT500 versions has me thinking how a GT500 influenced body kit will look from the aftermarket. Then on a more realistic level, how this will play into the LC-F's design, and yes the LC-F is supposed to happen.

GT cars like these have always done design great.

I can't see them really get any styling from these GT500 vehicles going on to the LC-F. Maybe a similarly designed hood perhaps?

You have a good point, seen the Lexus RC-F and it has hood with vents positioned similar to what we see here. I just hope if the LC-F gets vents that its still allows the LC to be classy. At the end of the day this is a GT car, not a full on sports car.
