Chris Harris pits the CTR against the LC500

Now these two cars obviously aren't direct competitors, its an interesting and entertaining video nonetheless. Really does showcase how much value you get in something like the FK8 considering its price.

That's one of the best Top Gear segments that I can recall from their recent seasons. Don't know if this was an actual heads up performance test, but I'm not surprised to see the Type R fair this well on a twisty course.

The only criticism I really have of the CTR is its overstyling. Not a fan of all the faux vents and frills. I know there are pushing through some updates for the next MY. Hopefully they tone things down a bit.

Its part of Japanese culture, hence the LC's styling as well. Find me another wild looking big coupe.

The massive front and rear fake vents are a deal killer for me. They do not look as horrible on the blue ones. The white are laughable. Still an awesome car in many ways. My daily is a Civic Si. A Type R could be a grocery getter, and a blast to drive.

As much as we want styling to change its part of the Type R's identity which is far bigger than our problems with it. For that reason I doubt anything will change.
