Lexus talks LFA successor, but only if there's enough hype

Lexus vice president Koji Sato was asked in an interview with Autocar about a successor to the incredible LFA. His answer left things open for a new car but it's not going to happen anytime soon.

The only way for it to happen is if there's enough hype and demand from the media and fans, which is understandable since Lexus sold 2 "new" LFAs in 2018 and 3 so far this year.

At the opposite end of the spectrum, Sato emphasised Lexus is not currently planning a follow-up to the limited-edition, V10-powered LFA, released in 2010.

I love it but we need your help. We need strong requests for a new LFA from the media. This can help us proceed, Sato said.

Where have these LFA's been sold, and for original MSRP?

I'm not sure where or how they're sold but my guess is that they'd be sold for MSRP.

Here's some other links about these LFAs:

Anyone selling a new condition LFA for MSRP should give their head a shake. Used values average around $400-500k and will continue to increase.
