Lexus Will Debut LC500h on march 1st

We know that Lexus will be coming out with a hybrid version of the LC500, the hybrid variant will be called the LC500h. We will see the LC500h in full on March 1st at the Geneva Motor Show.

We really don't know much at all about the LC500h's powertrain. The LC500 runs on a 5-litre V8 thT produces 467 hp. We only know two things about the LC500h's powertrain. First, it will use a petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, and second, it will use a feature called "Multi Stage hybrid System." Lexus says that the system will deliver "enhanced driving pleasure, more performance, and greater efficiency". Sounds good to me.

BBC - Autos - This is the Lexus LC 500h

Loving the momentum Lexus has going on here which has me curious as to when they'll reveal the LC-F since that's what i'm really here for. Just maybe not the price... unless its good enough.

They will likely unveil it within the year. The next model after the LC500 that will come out is the 7-seat SUV I believe.

Heard the hybrid version has a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, electric motor, and a four-speed automatic transmission. Going to have pretty good acceleration compared to the conventional gas ones.

The four-speed transmission is actually connected to a CVT. It's a twin-transmission system that eliminates the "rubber band" feeling of CVTs.

Yup, the whole drivetrain is quite innovative actually, didn't realize this but hearing it from someone in the industry puts it into perspective. Something which experiencing for ourselves should reveal through feel that's like nothing else

For now you can try test driving a GS-F, I believe they are slowly showing up at dealers, along with the RC-F. Both run the same engine and is the closest to anything like an LC although this is the hybrid. Sure to be some similarities in driving feel.

Agree. I find AutoGuide's review better and more detailed. By the way, LC500's just won 2018 AutoGuide.com Readers Choice Luxury Car of the Year Award.
