With the new 8 Series hitting the road soon, the guys over at BMW Blog wanted to see what benchmarks have been set by rivals like the LC500. They found it incredible fun to drive and in terms of price it does come in significantly cheaper than the M850i. Unfortunately, Lexus being sort of new to this segment with not nearly as much support from Lexus (lack of a diverse product portfolio), BMW has the advantage.

However that might change a bit once the LC-F is out and shows what this platform is capable of, that i'm looking forward to.

You have to applaud Lexus for taking a risk with the LC 500. While its styling isn't going to appeal to everyone, there is no denying that it turns heads. This is a car that's proud of its Japanese heritage and it shows. I do think they should consider equipping it with their ZF eight speed over the ten speed with future revisions.

Having super-car like styling is a big deal and the LC has a lot of it. More importantly they said they're not done with it. Current LC models are just to get the ball rolling.

It does look like they plan on expanding upon their high performance F Line portfolio. I'm really looking forward to seeing what models outside of the RC and GS are to get the new badge. Keep in mind that this new trim is about $16k more over the standard RC.
