I just intallelled Lexus genuine rear spoiler on sports package LC500. I thought that the wing is compatible with the active spoiler but it is not:(
Not bad looking but it hurts that I can’t use the active spoiler.
Should I take it off or keep it ? Let me know your opinion! Thx

The way I look at it, the active spoiler too far more engineering and thought from both a design and functional perspective and holds far more importance. Some other people buying GT coupes can only hope to have it. Aside from the LS, its supercars and hypercars that have active aero. ;)

It looks alright, but I think you should try and find something that allows you to use your active wing. You're sacrificing performance for such a small little accent. There are some more pricey options that work with it. https://www.evasivemotorsports.com/s...ts-line-2016-/

Thank you for your kind advise. I do regret to install the factory oem spoiler that was not for with active spoiler.
I did purchase the TRD spoiler & front spoiler. I did spend double the money for my wrong decision.

So fun to pop up a spoiler as you blow by someone. Our Continental would self deploy its at 90 mph. So it meant something. But just like the LC you can put it up manually.

45 too slow though.

Can they be removed? Someone on here might want them.

I would suggest looking into some alternatives and see if there is any interest for that spoiler online. I don't really like that it doesn't follow the lines of the trunk either. That double sided adhesive can be a real pain to remove.

I’d sure expect GooGone or such would not do the clear coat any good.

Is a bit upsetting that Lexus let this happen. A bit “slapdash”, a quick afterthought.

Nice looking wing, but non-compatibility would be a 100% deal breaker. Good choice switching to TRD.



You would think there would be a big red flag as the Lexus tech installed this knowing it wasn't compatible. :confused:
