Thumping noise from the trunk
 

When I hit the breaks occasionally it sounds like something is loose in the trunk. Its a light thumping sound. I brought it in for service and they could not duplicate it. It is happening more frequently so I think my next service I can show them. I was wondering if anyone has had this experience.

Do you have the model with the retractable spoiler? It makes a bit of a thumping noise as it deploys down from speed. To check if that's the culprit set it in a fixed position either up or down and see if you still hear the thump when applying brakes.

I have to thank you. I watched the spoiler in the rear view and when I stopped and it dropped there was the noise. Wondering why Lexus didn't know that . I will be sure to tell my service advisor at my next service.

I remember my Lx 2013 having a similar problem with the trunk. The thing is, I was doing some repairs at my house once, and I found a graphite radiator supplier on the internet, who I then decided to buy from. I put this radiator in the trunk, and maybe some washer got separated from it and fell into its housing, it's just that after that shipping I hear some noises all the time, like something banging all the time. I still haven't solved this problem.
